Digitalization Tracking Hanger

Hanger Digitalization Tracking is a system developed to transform the hanger monitoring process from a manual method to an integrated, real-time digital system. This system is designed to improve accuracy, efficiency, and ease of hanger data management in the production process.

Through this system, users can track the position of the hanger accurately, find out the number of missing items (loss), and analyze the speed of hanger movement. Each hanger is equipped with a sensor as a unique identifier, allowing the system to automatically recognize, record, and monitor hanger movement without manual intervention.

Additionally, a digital hanger tracking system has been developed and integrated with production machine data. This integration allows users to centrally monitor, analyze, and report hanger data, enabling faster, data-driven decision-making.

Challenge

In the manufacturing industry, various problems often occur in carrying out production, and these will gradually impact the production process. Therefore, the background of the problem is as follows:

1. The hanger monitoring process is still done manually, making it difficult to determine the position of the hanger accurately and in real-time.

2. The absence of an integrated recording system makes it difficult to detect the number of missing items (loss) during the production process.

3. Hanger movement speed data cannot be monitored and analyzed optimally, thus potentially causing inefficiencies in the production flow.

4. Dispersed and non-centralized information makes it difficult for users to monitor, analyze, and report data quickly and accurately.

5. The limited availability of accurate and real-time data results in less than optimal decision-making in controlling and improving production performance.

Project Goal

This project aims to:

1. Monitor hanger positions in real-time to improve visibility and control in the production process.

2. Identify and record the number of missing items (loss) accurately and systematically.

3. Analyze the speed of hanger movement to improve efficiency and smooth production flow.

4. Automate the process of recording and reporting hanger data to reduce reliance on manual processes.

5. Providing integrated and centralized data as a basis for faster, data-driven decision making.

Features Offered

The main features implemented in this system include:

1. Loading Andon

Provides information regarding andon loading data, where relevant stakeholders can monitor and analyze the hanger process at the andon loading position. With this feature, stakeholders can predict and make decisions for the subsequent production process.

2. Unloading Andon

Predicting the completion time of a product process that has a spend setting feature. Within the spend setting feature, involved stakeholders can adjust the conveyor speed for hangers according to the ongoing production requirements to achieve a balance between the product and the conveyor.

3. Spray Andon

The Andon spray feature has a similar function to the Andon spray. However, there is a difference; the Andon spray feature presents data in the form of the presence of hangers at the Andon spray process position.

4. Master Data Area

Data that functions as a multi-transaction across other data and is interrelated with one another. Master data areas that are dynamic will facilitate transaction processes between features that are related to the data area. Stakeholders can easily create multiple areas, which will then be displayed across several features without causing repetitive processes or limitations on each area process. Furthermore, it will save time during transaction processes.

Result

Based on the implementation results, the Digital Hanger Tracking System has successfully increased the effectiveness and efficiency of the hanger monitoring process. This system is able to provide information on hanger positions, the number of missing items (loss), as well as real-time and integrated hanger movement speed, thereby reducing dependence on manual processes.

By integrating hanger sensors with production machine data, this system facilitates centralized data monitoring, analysis, and reporting. Implementing this system supports faster, data-driven decision-making and contributes to improved operational control and overall production performance.
